May Brazil Aid starts to be paid this Wednesday (18); see calendar

Caixa Econômica Federal starts paying, this Wednesday (18), the Auxílio Brasil to 18.1 million families across the country. The income distribution program that replaced Bolsa Família has a minimum value of R$ 400. In May, 56,141 families were added to the list, according to the Ministry of Citizenship. In January, there were 18.06 million beneficiaries.

This Wednesday, those who have a NIS (Social Identification Number) with a final number of 1 receive the benefit. The payment in May runs until the 31st, when the money is released to beneficiaries with a final NIS zero. According to the Ministry of Citizenship, more than R$ 7.3 billion will be paid and the average value of the benefit will be R$ 409.5. In April, the total released amounted to R$ 7.4 billion.

WHO CAN RECEIVE BRAZIL AID

Auxílio Brasil is intended for people in situations of economic and social vulnerability. To be part of the program, the family must have updated data in CadÚnico in the last 24 months. The information must be the same as in other federal government databases.

Families in extreme poverty are benefited. Families in poverty can also receive the benefit. In this case, you must have pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers and people under 21 in your family composition.

Extremely poor families are those with a monthly family income per person of up to R$105. Those considered poor are those with a per capita family income ranging from R$101 to R$200. For those who meet the requirements, but do not yet are registered, you must contact the agency responsible for the Auxílio Brasil program at the city hall of your city to register in the Cadastro Único.

HOW IS THE PAYMENT DONE

Upon entering the program, beneficiaries receive, by post, two letters from Caixa, one with general guidelines on Auxílio Brasil and the second with the card for bank transactions. It is possible to check if the installment is available through the Auxílio Brasil and Caixa Tem apps. For telephone assistance, simply call 111. Then, you must enter your CPF or NIS.

Payment is made by Caixa Econômica Federal. Withdrawals can be made at ATMs, Caixa branches and lottery shops using the Social Card.
