Carol Nakamura, 39, used social media on Tuesday (31) to vent about the decision of her adopted son, Wallace, 12 years old, to go back to live with her biological mother. The boy had lived with her and her husband for three years, Guilherme Leonel. The actress did not hide her disappointment, but assumed that she had been anticipating this outcome for a while.
“A child who grows up without a rule is very difficult… As much as you show the benefits of education, literacy, having a family, home, opportunities, which he didn’t have before, it’s complicated and disappointing. I didn’t believe this was going to happen, but what to do”, started Carol.
She did not deny that the family relationship was difficult. When she met Wallace, he was a resident of a poor community in Duque de Caxias, Rio de Janeiro, for which she worked as a volunteer and ambassador.
“Wallace was naughty. He already understood that I didn’t have custody of him. If we fought or grounded him, or drew attention, he wanted to go to his mother’s house. And if his mother did the same, he’d come here. And in that, missing the class. There’s no other word, he was shameless”, admitted Nakamura who also said he talked to the boy, but it was no use.
“We always sat down and talked a lot, but unfortunately, that was it. I’ve cried, I didn’t understand, but it’s no use. All I can do is accept it. It’s a subject that bothers me a lot. I kept asking myself: where did I go wrong, what did I do it wrong?” she asked.
Carol Nakamura also revealed that before the courts, his word is already valid and that’s why he had to accept the decision, despite regretting it. “I had just renewed the material list, I made him choose the notebooks. When I was younger, I didn’t have any money, it was all very basic. I let him choose everything and that was it… I bought a uniform… It’s sad.”, commented the actress.
