One of Hollywood’s most discreet and enigmatic celebrities, Keanu Reeves, 57, made a rare appearance alongside his girlfriend, visual artist Alexandra Grant, 49, this weekend. The two posed together on the MOCA Gala red carpet at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles.

They’ve been friends for years and worked together in 2011 and 2016, when Grant illustrated, respectively, the books “Ode to Happiness” and “Shadows” written by Reeves. The courtship came to light shortly before the pandemic, at the end of 2019: the two posed together on the red carpet of the LACMA Art + Film Gala, the main art and film event in California.

According to Page Six, a close friend of Reeves’s recently revealed that dating Grant did the “Matrix” star a lot of good. “Maybe it’s the first relationship that calmed him down,” he said. The actor’s family, according to the same source, was also delighted. Keanu’s mother would be “a big fan” of her daughter-in-law.

The photos of the two had a positive impact on the networks. “Cute”, “beautiful”, “in love” and “too cute” were some of the comments on the images in which they appear holding hands. “I just want someone in my life to look at me the way he looks at Alexandra,” the admin of a Reeves fan club page wrote on Twitter.

At this weekend’s event, Grant was asked by People magazine if the two had any wedding plans. And she: “With a glass of wine… I’d love to talk about it. There’s a period of isolation that I do as an artist, but I deeply value the experience of being in a relationship.”

In December, Reeves talked about love on “The Drew Barrymore Show.” After the actress and presenter defined herself as a lover, “not a fighter”, he replied: “If you’re a lover, you have to be a fighter… If you don’t fight for your love, what kind of love you have?”.
