Ana Maria Braga honors Tom Veiga, Louro José, one year after his death

by

The presenter Ana Maria Braga, 72, paid homage this Monday (1st) to Tom Veiga, the interpreter of Louro José who died exactly one year ago. “The pain of losing Tom and Louro is that of losing a child. The emptiness you left, Tom… I don’t even have words!”, she wrote on Twitter.

The actor was found dead in his home in Barra da Tijuca, west of Rio de Janeiro, on November 1, 2020. He was 47 years old and has left behind four children. The death occurred as a result of a hemorrhagic stroke (cerebrovascular accident) caused by an aneurysm, according to a report from the IML (Institute of Legal Medicine).

The program Mais Você (Globo) on this Monday (1st) also paid tribute to the actor. The attraction has been presented by Fabrício Battaglini and Talitha Morete since last Monday (25), when Ana Maria had to leave after suffering a fall at home. According to Talitha, the presenter is doing well and is back “soon” in charge of the morning.

Ana Maria has been working with the idea of having a new mascot at Mais Você. The idea is to launch it on stage this year.

The new scenario inaugurated in São Paulo at the beginning of the year already reserved a space for the new mascot, in the same proportions as the original character. At the time, she justified that the Louro space would be there so that she would always remember him.
