The Alagoas Justice ordered the release of one of the three suspects arrested for involvement in the theft from the apartment of digital influencer Carlinhos Maia, 30. The arrest of the other two was maintained. According to police, investigations are continuing.
The Court of Justice stated, in a note, that the arrest of the suspect was replaced by precautionary measures, according to a decision of the 17th Criminal Court of the Capital. Despite this, details of the case were not given, as it remains under judicial secrecy.
The trio was arrested last Monday night (6) in Campina Grande, ParaÃba, after the seizure of a car that would have been used in the theft and later located in a dismantling area. The three would have been complicit in this type of crime for years.
According to the police, the suspects knew about the influencer’s assets and that the house would be empty through Carlinhos Maia’s social media. However, the participation of other people is not ruled out. In all, R$ 5 million worth of objects were taken.
The robbery of the influencer’s apartment in Maceió happened in the early hours of May 29, a Sunday. Maia was not at the house at the time of the robbery, she was hospitalized for liposuction. Her husband, Lucas Guimarães, was in Mexico.
