Tiktoker dies at 19 after video about dying young

American TikTok star Cooper Noriega, 19, who boasted nearly 1.8 million followers, died Thursday, just hours after sharing a video on social media about dying young. He was found unconscious in the parking lot of a mall in Los Angeles, United States.

According to TMZ, a passerby found Noriega unconscious and called emergency services. Despite arriving at the scene quickly, the paramedics were unable to resuscitate Noriega.

The tiktoker’s cause of death is still unknown, as he showed no signs of aggression. An autopsy will be done to get more details about the mysterious death. The police suspect no crime.

Hours before he died, Noriega had posted a video lying in bed with the caption: “Who else thinks they’re going to die young.” On June 4, he announced on Instagram a Discord page to talk about mental health.

“I’ve been struggling with addiction since I was 9 years old, you might think this is crazy but this is the life I’ve had,” he wrote in the emotional post. “I would like to use the influence given to me to create a space built to spread awareness and normalize the conversation about mental illness.”
