Azealia Banks leaves stage at Miami concert after allergic reaction

by

In the early hours of Saturday (11), singer Azealia Banks left the stage of the Wynwood Pride festival, organized in honor of LGBTQIA+ pride month, in Miami. “I’m really not happy to be here,” she said, throwing the mic onto the stage. She was even booed and hit by water, thrown by a spectator near the railing.

She arrived two hours late and complained to the audience about the disorganization of the event. Banks made it clear during the performance that her dismay was not with the fans, but with the unprofessionalism of the organizers.

On Twitter, she said the main problem during the performance was her allergy to dry ice. According to her, her team made it clear that this was her restriction for the event. “I could barely stand up,” said Azealia, who needed medical attention.

The singer even apologized to her fans. “I’m trying guys, but it’s hard.” And at that moment, she claims that the organization turned off her microphone, and that’s why she threw it.

“Originally, I was scheduled to perform at 10pm, but the organizer moved me to 1am, which jeopardized my entire team’s organization. A phone was thrown at my stage — proof that the festival couldn’t afford security,” he wrote.

“When you hire makeup artists, drummers, guitarists, DJs, security guards, and an entire crew that intends to work from 7 am, and your agent gets an alert that your schedule is now 1 am, people have to change the whole itinerary. Extremely unprofessional,” he said in another tweet.
