It was not easy for the actress and youtuber Viih Tube, 21, to become this well-resolved and uninhibited person who appears nowadays on the networks and in front of the cameras. In 2016, Viih was a 15-year-old teenager when she posted a video on Snapchat of her spitting into her sleeping cat’s mouth. The internet did not forgive.
She was canceled even after apologizing and trying to explain her intention: the images would be a tutorial for anyone who wanted to learn how to feed their felines. “I lived my cancellation and that changed me for the rest of my life. I entered a box afraid of everything. It took years to get out of it”, says she, who has more than 23 million followers on Instagram alone. It is more than double the entire population of Portugal.
She gained national repercussion after participating in the 21st edition of Big Brother Brazil (Globo), and says she decided to participate in the reality show to present her “truest” version to the country. “I suffered a lot to get back to being me. People only love what they do when they’re happy, and I wasn’t.”
But now it is. In October 2021, she used her networks (of course) to announce that her three-year relationship with fellow influencer Bruno Magri was coming to an end, and she has been enjoying life ever since. No crisis. “I used to be super dependent on men, I’m not anymore. This is the first time I’m single and happy”, says Viih.
The ultra-party and catchy phase, however, seems to have passed. “In the beginning, she was totally ‘uncool’, I just wanted to kiss her on the mouth. Now it’s been a little while, I went back to work at the beginning of the year. I automatically became calmer, but I still have my contacts”, she jokes, in conversation with F5behind the scenes of the recording of the comedy “Doce FamÃlia”.
With her participation in the film, the idea is that the public starts to see her as an actress as well. “Before being an influencer, I was already studying acting, but it’s no use, I’m better known as a youtuber,” she agrees.
Viih plays Babi, sister of the protagonist Tamara, Mariana Xavier’s character, and says that doing the comedy was a different experience, with the bonus of a pleasant surprise. “I didn’t think I could be funny!” says the influencer and actress.
