Marija Tiurina is known for her chaotic, fictional worlds, which provide an opportunity for a short escape from reality. Therefore, it made sense for the London-based artist to turn one of her biggest watercolors into a challenging 1,500-piece puzzle.
Overflowing with surreal grandeur, the colorful image envisions a resort for families and their imaginary friends. Adults, children and a seemingly endless array of fictional characters flock to the vacation spot to relax by the pool, play video games, go fishing and go skating.
“I am an illustrator and artist living and working in London. “The main areas I focus on as a creator are digital illustration and watercolors; however, I also go out of my way to experiment with collage, photography, sculpture and multimedia art,” Marijia Tiurina wrote on her website. “I come from a country of lakes and forests, snowy winters and hot summers also known as Lithuania.”
