The track and field legend spoke to his mother again after 10 years thanks to a tape.
To new ones shocking revelations for his illegal transfer to Britain at age 9, the living track and field legend stepped forward Mo Fara. As he even said, he had ten years to contact his mother, who did not know if her child was alive.
“My mother’s name is Aisha. I never forgot my mother and that tape”, said the Olympian. However, his mother’s words were also shocking. “A mother and a child are never parted except by death. But I had a motherly need to find him and I learned he was in the UK.”he said.

His mother’s surprise and emotion when she heard him after such a long time was great and as he stated “the excitement and joy of getting an answer from him made me forget what had happened”. “I was helpless for ten years, more than ten years. When I heard him, I felt like my phone fell to the ground and I was transported to him, from all the joy I felt”he added.
He recalls the moment, while as he said for years he kept his story a secret. “I remember saying ‘mum’, she says ‘yes’ and I asked her what she’s doing. What I wanted to do was to go see my family in Somaliland.”said the Olympian.
