For the past 24 hours, a picture of Kate Middleton as a victim of domestic abuse has been circulating around the world as part of a shocking campaign against violence against women.
This photo was released in view of the campaign of the Italian artist and activist, Alexsandro Palombo, which aims to raise awareness about domestic violence. In addition to Kate Middleton, the campaign features Ursula von der Leyen, Kamala Harris, Queen Letizia of Spain and Christine Lagarde.
“Why should a woman complain that she is a victim if she is not protected by the institutions and ends up dead? How can a woman victim of abuse and violence continue to believe in the institutions? I see politicians calling women to make complaints but no one takes responsibility “A state that does not protect but leaves women alone in the hands of their torturer becomes a silent accomplice,” was the text written by the activist and accompanying the photos.
And while the move was clearly done for good, it seems to have upset the British palace as according to several reports, no one has asked for the duchess’s consent and the images have been edited by the Italian artist and activist without asking anyone.
