We often refer to combinations of ingredients that are worth having in your daily care routine. The reason is simple. Some ingredients, if combined, work even better and more effectively than each one individually. But how do you know what they are and what their best combinations are?
We did the necessary research and we present them below!
Vitamin C and Sunscreen
A classic combination that fits perfectly in the morning grooming routine. Essentially, vitamin C enhances the effectiveness of sunscreen when used before this morning. Thus, it not only provides rich antioxidant and anti-aging benefits but also increases the protection of the skin from the sun and environmental factors.
Retinol and Niacinamide
This combination is magical during your night treatment, especially for those who are more sensitive to the skin. Niacinamide helps reduce the irritation or inflammation that can be caused by retinol due to its anti-inflammatory properties, while strengthening the skin barrier. In this way, the skin can reap all the benefits of retinol without the irritation that its use often causes. To work, use niacinamide the night before retinol.
Hyaluronic Acid and Tiles
This combination is the best you can do if you feel dry skin! Hyaluronic acid is a moisturizing ingredient and the tiles lock in this moisture to the skin. Thus, the skin is not only deeply hydrated but remains hydrated for an hour. Ideally, use a serum with hyaluronic acid followed by a moisturizing cream with tiles.
Niacinamide and Salicylic Acid
A combination for those who have a tendency to acne. Niacinamide with salicylic acid, make the pores look smaller, fight the signs of aging and prevent acne.
Vitamin C and Vitamin E.
A favorite combination, vitamin C and vitamin E offer rich anti-aging action while protecting against free radicals.
Glycolic acid and Tiles
Combining exfoliation with hydration, glycolic acid provides gentle exfoliation while the tiles moisturize the skin.
On the other hand, there are some combinations of ingredients that are good to avoid, especially without expert guidance.
Retinol and Vitamin C: As much as we love each one individually, their combination can cause irritation, tenderness and redness.
Glycolic, Salicylic and Lactic Acid: Respectively in the above case these three acids act extremely alone. Their combination, however, can remove natural oils from the skin, making the skin very dry and damaging the skin barrier. That’s why it’s best to avoid.
If you are already using one or more of the above beneficial combinations, then continue with your routine! If on the other hand you would like to include someone in your daily care, consult your dermatologist or beautician to suggest the most suitable products for your skin.
