The American actress Sigourney Weaver and the Oscar winner Kevin Kline, join forces again and star in the tender romantic film ‘The Good House’, directed by Maya Forbes and Wally Wolodarsky. It is based on the novel of the same name by Ann Leary.
Weaver plays a broker, free whose family worries about her great weakness for drink. According to the official synopsis, her life begins to unravel as “a romance rekindles with her old high school crush,” played by Kevin Kline. He then “gets dangerously entangled with one person’s reckless behavior, rekindling buried feelings and family secrets.”
The cast includes Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney and David Rush, among others.
The film couple had worked together again in the film ‘Dave’ in 1993 and in ‘The Ice Storm’ in 1997. Weaver speaking to ‘The Hollywood Reporter’ about their new collaboration emphasized that ‘we are very good friends. We went to competing drama schools and this is part of our daily teasing. We have a very tender relationship, a bit competitive.”
And the actress continues: “It was a pleasure to play with him again. I trust him so much and I think he trusts me too.”
The movie “The Good House» will be screened in theaters from September 30.
