Dani Calabresa says in a statement that he would rather ‘play’ than fight with ‘perverted boss’

Another chapter of the battle in Justice between Dani Calabresa and Marcius Melhem came to light this Friday (12), when excerpts from the testimonies of the two were released in the action that the former director of Globo’s humor department moves against Calabresa. Melhem decided to sue the actress for moral damages after being accused by her of sexual harassment.

The director’s lawyers attached to the lawsuit several exchanges of messages between the two. In one of them, the subject is a party, which took place in April 2017, when Calabresa would have shown nudes on her cell phone. The actress said that she was showing the content to other friends, when Melhem advanced on her and snatched the device from her hand to see the photos.

In excerpts from the testimonies published by Veja magazine, she assumes “joking” exchanges of messages between the two and says that it was her choice “not to pick a fight with the boss”. “Let him sing to me, let him call me hot. For me, it was an advantage. I’d rather keep playing with my horny boss than picking a fight with him”.

Parties are recurring topics. In another passage, the former director denies having tried to kiss Calabresa more than once on another night, and also that he would have immobilized her with his hands to force an approach. He rejects the accusation of an advance towards her, pants open, showing his penis. Melhem details his involvement with Calabresa at the time and says he stayed with her and a friend. He reinforces that everything happened consensually.

Melhem also says that, after this party, he tried to continue flirting with Dani Calabresa, but gave up when he saw that there was no reciprocity in interest. “We exchanged messages, me saying that she was hot, she saying when I was going to run around naked, but like, normal friends stuff”, reported the former director.

Dani Calabresa confirmed the hookup between Marcius and her friend, identified as Maíra Perazzo, and explains that Melhem’s approach to her happened differently. “Totally malicious, came humping me, grabbed me on the floor, grabbed me near the bar, grabbed me in the bathroom, grabbed me coming out of the bathroom, and I turned, turned. He kept trying to kiss me the whole time, grabbed me and disrespected me the whole time!”

“And we have witnesses and friends, people saw it, the team saw that he had me pinned to a wall and I was like, ‘Stop it Marcius, stop it!'” she continued. “I pushed Maíra towards him, and he snapped Maíra, and stayed with Maíra, and I went back to the dance floor, licked, disheveled, abused and drunk, excited, but thinking: ‘He has no limit, it’s over, no joke, he really grabbed me!'” explained the actress.

Maíra was called to testify at the request of Melhem’s lawyers, and confirmed Dani’s lines about the former director having harassed the artist and about them. [Maíra e Melhem] have stayed. She also reports that she didn’t remember seeing the ex-director with Calabresa nor that she felt that her friend was feeling bad when she saw her again at the end of the celebration. “I didn’t see her crying or shaking. She just pulled me in to be with him.”

Maíra Perazzo also confirmed the meeting with Marcius Melhem the month after the party. She admitted that after breaking the news to Dani, the actress began to open up to her, talking about the alleged harassment and that she was sorry for “throwing her friend into their arms”. “She hadn’t seen gravity, nor had I yet, then she felt the size of gravity and then told me everything that happened,” she declared.
