Another record conquers the unique “Old Town Road” of the multi-platinum superstar Lil Nas X in co-operation with Billy Ray Cyrus (Billy Ray Cyrus). It entered the list of 1 billion views on YouTube and is the first time for both artists to enter YouTube’s ‘Billion Views Club’.
Notably, it is the first song to go 15 times platinum in the United States, according to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), and has the longest stay at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, as it completed 19 consecutive weeks at the top of the chart. It also has a record-breaking 26 weeks at No. 1 on YouTube’s Top Songs chart in the US and has won Grammy Awards for Best Performance by a Duo/Group and Best Music Video.

Lil Nas X spent a total of $50 to record the original track “Old Town Road” in less than an hour in an Atlanta studio before releasing it on December 3, 2018. The remix he recorded with Billy Ray Cyrus was released on the 5 April of 2019.
Lil Nas X celebrated his ‘Old Town Road’ milestone of surpassing 1 billion views on YouTube with a post on Twitter, writing solemnly, “We did it.”
