Anne Geddes, famous for newborn photos, has Facebook hacked and asks for help: ‘Painful’

Australian photographer Anne Geddes, 65, has made an appeal to her fans and followers after having her official Facebook page hacked. Through a video posted on Instagram, the pioneer of newborn photo shoots —photos with newborn babies— asked Internet users to report her latest publications on her profile.

“For the last four weeks or so, if you’ve been following me on my Facebook page, you must have noticed that I’m posting hundreds of sometimes pornographic videos. I’m in touch with Facebook, with customer support, to do something about it, but they didn’t do anything,” he said.

Geddes says he sends messages and emails daily to the social network’s support, however, he doesn’t receive responses from a human, but programmed messages. “Seeing what’s happening breaks my heart. I keep getting ridiculous messages saying they’re working on it and will get back to me within 24-48 hours.”

The photographer said that she even responded to the messages, saying that Facebook should not send this type of content to people who are going through “this worrying situation”. Finally, she appeals to her followers to report the videos posted on her profile.

“I’m sorry for asking this, but please go to my official Facebook page and report these terrible videos. If you can share this message, maybe a human on Facebook, if there is any, can see this and try to do something.”

Then, she says that she recently published one of her photos taken in a newborn shoot and received a warning from Facebook asking her to delete the image, as it was “too suggestive”. “Sorry, that’s my plea. If you can help me,” she finished.
