A strange incident is described in David Enrich’s book of the New York Times, which will be released next month, entitled “Servants of the Damned: Giant Law Firms, Donald Trump and the Corruption of Justice.”

In particular, Donald Trump allegedly tried to pay a lawyer in kind, specifically with a horse!

According to the book, the lawyer told Donald Trump: “I’m incredibly disappointed… There’s no reason you haven’t paid us.” Trump then replies: “I’ll pay your bill. I will give you something precious.” “I have a stallion. It’s worth $5 million,” Trump said while rummaging through a filing cabinet, then pulled out a horse’s title deeds and handed them to the lawyer.

“The bill was about $2 million and Trump refused to pay. After a while, the lawyer lost his patience and appeared – unannounced – at Trump Tower. Someone sent him to Trump’s office. At first, Trump was pleased to see him, he didn’t show any shame – but the lawyer was furious.”
