Maybe today Microsoft and Apple not to have the best of relationships, symbolizing two opposite “camps” of Mac and Windows, but once there was only… love in their (commercial) relationship.

See in an advertisement from the distant 1984 the head of Microsoft bill gates, then only… millionaire, to advertise her flagship computer Apple Macintosh with the warmest words.

“It’s a great machine. It’s a step forward in the way you use graphics and speed. I got excited. This is a machine that many people will be able to buy. It is a very – very useful machine. Microsoft doesn’t work with new hardware very often, but we’ve built a team from the ground up, and we plan for over half of our retail sales next year to come from Macintosh software,” Gates said in the ad.
