Accommodations that look nothing like their online photos, endless lists of rules and unreasonable demands from hosts to guests, such as doing laundry or mowing the lawn. Now, more and more people are realizing that staying in an Airbnb doesn’t always promise the vacation you’ve been dreaming of.

This is exactly what the new ad for the Hilton hotel chain is all about. A family arrives at the foreclosed lodge to find a dark and spooky tower that looks nothing like the pictures on the platform.

Once inside, he reads a long list of rules, including some more reasonable (no shoes) and some more absurd (no whistles, no sandwiches).

“When you’re choosing a dream vacation over the nightmare of a short-term rental, where you live matters,” the ad says as the family packs up and takes “shelter” at a Hilton hotel.
