Felipe Neto shares photos of meeting with Lula

Youtuber and influencer Felipe Neto, 34, shared on social media photos of a meeting with former president Luís Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), this Sunday (25). One of the biggest influencers in Brazil, Felipe declared the PT vote in August.

“It’s time to beat hate! It’s time for love to overcome everything! Lula 13 in the first round!”, wrote the youtuber in the caption of the photo posted on the networks. Lula posted the same photo with the caption: “Let’s go together, Felipe Neto! Happy with our meeting, your support and trust. A hug!”

In August, Neto said he chose Lula to defeat the “genocidal monster” – referring to President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) – that has destroyed Brazil for the past four years. “For the end of fear, hunger, denialism and incompetence. I declare my vote for Lula 13 in the first round of the elections for the presidency of Brazil”, he wrote on Twitter.

The youtuber said he will charge Lula if he is elected. “My support is for the hope of returning to being a country that grows, but the demands will be great, as it has to be with anyone,” he added.

With 44.4 million followers on YouTube, 14.8 million on Twitter and 16 million on Instagram, Neto has established himself as one of the main voices of anti-bolsonarism and anti-conservatism. In 2019, he purchased and distributed 14,000 LGBT-themed books for free at the event, earning points with progressive audiences.

The influencer has also become one of the biggest advocates of people attacked by supporters of President Jair Bolsonaro (PL). In May of this year, he defended chef Paola Carosella, 49, the target of attacks by Bolsonaristas after she pointed out two reasons that would hinder relations with those who support the current president of Brazil: “Because he’s an asshole, or because he’s stupid” . Paola also guaranteed that no one in her family is a supporter of Bolsonaro.

Before that, Felipe Neto denounced through social networks some threats that his mother, Rosa, received via WhatsApp. In a message whose screenshot he shared, one person says he intends to destroy her life at all costs. He also curses her and says that not even “your children will get you out of this”.

Neto stated that it was not the first time that something of this nature had happened. “Once again they sent heavy threats to my mother. We are already taking action. We found out where it came from, and my mother is going to the police station”, he wrote, reinforcing that it has been three years of threats. “Let’s go all the way this time. No more living in fear. Let’s win.”
