For the collection, Kim Kardashian chose clothes from the fashion house, since 1987

The famous TV personality Kim Kardashian collaborated with Dolce & Gabbana to create a collection and they brought to the fashion world the “Ciao Kim” collection, which was presented at the Milan Fashion Week.

The clothes shown on the catwalk were pieces from 1987, which Kim chose for the show, which featured a video of herself eating spaghetti in the background.

Kim Kardashian thanked the two designers for their collaboration through a post she made on her personal Instagram account, explaining that what she experienced was a childhood dream come true, as she watched the house’s fashion shows from a young age.

She began by writing, “the last few days have been like a dream… the most magical experience and the culmination of an incredible journey I’ve had over the last few months with Stefano, Domenico and the entire Dolce & Gabbana team.”

She went on to say, “I’ve always loved the beautiful, perfect looks of the ’90s and 2000s…feminine, bold, they always made me feel so confident and glamorous. You could feel the moment you put on a D&G dress, the intention when it was designed and made was to honor the woman wearing it. To make her feel that she could achieve anything, be anything.”

Referring to the creation of the collection she said, “What started as a dinner conversation with Domenico and Stefanos led to an adventure of months, with the aim of creating the ‘Ciao Kim’ collection, a selection of looks from the D&G archives. We went through every look from 1987 onwards and I picked my favourites, which I felt were the most iconic.”

She pointed out that she was allowed to express herself, as well as her creativity, without any limits. “They trusted me and my team to create all the content, the short film, the music and the direction of the show, in collaboration with their incredible team,” said Kim.

Finally, he thanked the designers stating: “Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Domenico, Stefanos, the whole D&G team and those who made this show possible. I could never have imagined, when I was a little girl watching Linda Evangelista and Monica Bellucci on the D&G catwalk, that I would be art directing a collection and show with D&G for fashion week. I will never forget this moment and this experience.”
