One of the first to arrive at the festive event promoted by the campaign of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, this Monday (26), São Paulo, Mônica Martelli classified the government of Jair Bolsonaro as “misogynist”. “There is a relationship of aggression. The lives of women in the Lula and Dilma governments were much better.”
Wearing a red shirt and black pants, Mônica also called for more assertive female participation in this final stretch of the 2022 elections. “It’s time to take to the streets. Regardless of social class, race and creed, women need to fight this country of exclusion, violence and misogyny,” she says.
The actress also commented on the current president’s difficult relationship with culture. “We artists have become targets of Bolsonaro’s hatred. He treats our class as marginal and this is unacceptable. We want a government that stops attacking culture and lets us go back to existing and producing”, she points out.
Mônica Martelli, who until last weekend was showing the play “Minha Vida em Marte”, at Teatro Renault, in São Paulo, commented on the useful vote and the project of a third way in the long term. “We are going to elect Lula in the first round for Bolsonaro to leave soon. The departure of this gentleman from the government will strengthen democracy and then we are thinking of a third way in the next presidential elections”, she explains.
