Khloé Kardashian Says She Turned Down Tristan Thompson’s Proposal

Businesswoman and model Khloé Kardashian, 38, has revealed that her ex-boyfriend, basketball player Tristan Thompson, 31, proposed to her more than a year ago. In conversation with Kim Kardashian, the socialite said that she rejected the request and chose not to tell anyone in the family.

Khloé said that she decided not to accept the proposal because she wanted “to be proud to say that I am engaged to someone”. “That’s why I said, ‘I’m not comfortable accepting this right now, because I’m not excited to tell my family.’ As painful as it was for him to hear, it was the truth.”

Earlier, Kim had said that Thompson revealed he made the proposal to Khloé in a phone call. “‘Hey, I’ve never heard anything from Khloé. Did you propose?’. Khloé and Thompson started dating in 2016 and separated in 2021. Their relationship was marked by controversies involving cases of infidelity on the part of the athlete. At the end of last year, he even got another woman pregnant while the two were still together.

Khloé’s separation from the athlete happened after the socialite discovered that Tristan cheated on her, once again, with the aggravating of the lover this time being Jordyn Woods, the best friend of Kylie Jenner (Kardashian’s half-sister).

The former couple have two children, 4-year-old True Thompson, and a baby who was born via surrogate in August of this year. The decision to have another child would have been made before the official separation of the two.

Khloé also stated that Thompson’s actions had an impact on her mental health. “Going through what I went through was Tristan was incredibly difficult. The hardest part of it all is training not to love someone. That was my life for six years. And we weren’t just a couple, we were genuinely best friends.”
