Luciano Huck criticizes Bolsonaro after controversial video with minors: ‘There is no ‘painting a climate’!’

Presenter Luciano Huck used social media to express revolt against the video in which president and reelection candidate Jair Bolsonaro (PL) says he “painted an atmosphere” with underage girls in São Sebastião (DF).

Without citing Bolsonaro, Luciano makes reference to the phrase in the video. The images went viral this weekend. “There is no such thing as ‘painting a climate’. Child sexual exploitation is a topic that cannot be treated with ‘normality’, nor pushed under the rug”, begins the presenter of Globo’s “Domingão do Huck”, in the caption.

The post is accompanied by a video in which Luciano re-displays a picture of the previous attraction he commanded on the station on Saturdays, “Caldeirão do Huck”. They are excerpts from the documentary “Um Crime Entre Nós, which addresses child sexual exploitation in various regions of Brazil.

Before the images, Luciano explains that he could only show the compiled program, but decided that it was also important to talk about the subject. He says that when he recorded the program he thought that the sexual exploitation of minors was an unsolved problem. “But then I stopped, thought and reflected that there is a solution, yes. The solution is to open it wide for everyone to see that the problem exists, how it operates, what the terrible consequences are”, observes the presenter.

Huck still complete. “I share a little of what I saw and learned about the fight against this crime, when I produced and participated in the documentary “Um Crime Entre Nós”. know the gravity of the situation and don’t close your eyes”, he concludes.

In an interview with the YouTube channel “Paparazzo Rubro-Negro” last Friday (15), Bolsonaro said that, during a motorcycle ride through the community of São Sebastião, near Brasília, he saw girls aged 14 and 15 and that “painted a mood” before asking to go to their house. “I stopped the bike on a corner, took off my helmet and looked at some little girls, three, four, pretty, 14, 15 years old, dressed up on a Saturday in a community. And I saw that they were kind of similar. It painted a mood, I came back. ‘I can come in in your house?’ I went in. There were about 15, 20 girls getting ready Saturday morning. All Venezuelan. And I ask: pretty girls 14, 15 years old getting ready on Saturday for what? Make a living. You want this for your daughter who is listening to us now?” Bolsonaro said.
