Leonardo’s wife counters João Guilherme after criticism about support for Bolsonaro: ‘He paid alimony until he was 18’

After João Guilherme criticized the countryman for supporting the reelection of Jair Bolsonaro (PL) to the presidency of the Republic, the singer’s wife, Poliana Rocha, took to Instagram to disapprove of her stepson’s attitude this Monday (17). She also asked for respect to the actor and singer for accusing his father of “playing on the wrong team”.

“How it upsets me. How far we have come. João Guilherme, please respect your father and his choice (free will). We always treat you with great love, he honored his obligations as a father (he paid child support until he was 18 years old correctly, travel, and everything you needed). You were always welcomed by us with love and affection”, began Poliana in the outburst.

She continued to defend Leonardo. “He is a good man, dear and loved, and he doesn’t deserve to go through that. Rethink his attitudes! A father and son relationship should be greater than anything in this world. Only those who don’t have a father know how to value. I believe. What a shame,” wrote Poliana in her Instagram stories.

Leonardo and other sertanejos like Gustavo Lima, Chitãozinho and Zezé Di Camargo met with Bolsonaro at Palácio da Alvorada to declare their vote for the current president in the second round. I love him, for that I apologize”, continued the actor who is the result of a relationship between Leonardo and businesswoman Naira Ávila.

João Guilherme Ávila wasted no time and replied to his stepmother: “Please don’t give me speeches like ‘you can support yourself without your father’s pension, so’ or ‘you never had to wake up early to pick up the hoe, everything you have is because from the father’. This is a lack of respect for my mother’s family who raised and educated me. I never depended on him. Pension is my mother’s right.
