A father and son have been spared jail time and a trial due to start in September 2021 for their role in the brawl at the luxury Palm Beach resort. Rod’s legal team reached a plea deal with prosecutors in which Stewart and his son pleaded no contest to the simple assault charge.
The trial, which was scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 14, was canceled, according to court documents. The Stewarts faced up to a year in the Palm Beach County Jail.
