Nina Kaplan, who writes for “Club Oenologique” online, the popular British newspaper “The Times” and Luxx’s insert magazine, and is also a regular contributor to Travel + Leisure magazine, was in Thessaloniki to introduce her readers to newspaper “The Times” on the quality of Greek wines from the wineries of Thessaloniki and the surrounding areas.
In this context, he visited the Gerovasileiou, Kehris, Thymiopoulos, Kyr-Yiannis, Dalamara and Founti wineries, tasted various varieties of wines that make the region famous all over the world and tasted the UNESCO-recognized Thessaloniki gastronomy, while also meeting with representatives of the Union of Winemakers of Northern Greece.
Nika Kaplan was also guided to the sights of Thessaloniki and visited the archaeological site of Vergina in order to connect the wine tradition with the history of the region.
