Noel Gallagher and his band ‘High Flying Birds’ are back with a new song, the “Pretty Boy”which will be included on the former Oasis guitarist’s next album.
“Pretty Boy” is a fast-moving track, driven by a restless post-punk energy, but ending with a melodic jangle. The song was recorded at Gallagher’s Lone Star Sound studio in London and co-produced with Paul Stacey. Gallagher’s friend and collaborator Johnny Marr also plays guitar on the song.
“For this new record, it was the first track I wrote, the first I demoed and the first I finished, so it’s only fitting that it’s the first song people hear,” Gallagher said.
Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds released their latest album, Who Built the Moon?, in 2017. Last year, the band released a greatest hits collection from 2011 to 2021, which included two new songs. Gallagher and the High Flying Birds’ next album is due out in 2023.
