The conversation started when Drew told her, “I heard you weren’t always hugged at school.” And the actress replied: “I was very, very lucky with my parents, because when I was bullied for my appearance, my mom always told me that I should focus on other things.”
Last year, the actress told Elle magazine that she turned to acting because school was so weird: “I needed to believe in a place where I could be valued and not constantly wonder: What’s wrong with me and why don’t I fit in?’
