Nicole Kidman surprised both Broadway audiences and him Hugh Jackmanoffering $100,000 for a hat signed by the actor after a performance of her former co-star’s musical “The Music Man.”

During an auction for the charity Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids, Kidman made her presence felt by calling out her bid for the hat, which led to cheers from the audience, who then stood up and he applauded her.

“I want to be clear, these are not Australian dollars,” Jackman joked.

“I love you. I love Broadway. And I love what they’re doing, Broadway Cares, but I also want to say that this show is great,” Nicole Kidman said and hugged Jackman.

“I have known Nicole for almost 30 years. I have worked with her. I can tell you that this is no surprise to me. She is one of the most generous souls I know,” said the actor. “You are a wonderful human being. I love you. Thank you for your generosity.”

The cast of the musical ‘Music Man’ raised money for the charity through their performances.

Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman have worked together, starring in Baz Luhrmann’s 2008 film Australia and lending their voices to both of George Miller’s animated films Happy Feet.
