Country singer Maurílio Ribeiro, who is a partner of Luiza, is still hospitalized in a serious condition in the Intensive Care Unit, but showed an improvement in his clinical condition, reducing the amount of medication. The medical team also ruled out the need for surgery.
According to a bulletin from Hospital Jardim América, in Goiás, the artist has experienced “progressive clinical improvement”. The text says that this Thursday night (16), the vascular surgery team confirmed “no need for surgical intervention at the moment” and decided to maintain the current treatment.
The countryman continues undergoing hemodialysis, showing a good response in renal functions and improvement in vital signs. According to the note sent by the press office, he needs “less and less medication for this purpose”.
This Thursday night, the press office shared another bulletin explaining that hemodialysis was already being analyzed by the medical team and is a common and transitory procedure in cases such as the singer’s. He underwent an ultrasound examination of the lower limbs and “thrombi were identified [coágulos] in the venous system of the right leg, something also expected in patients with similar conditions”.
The artist had already been showing improvement, this Wednesday afternoon (15), in the hemodynamic state –movements and pressures of blood circulation– compared to the morning period. “Since this is a dynamic situation, new exams will be carried out throughout the day to adjust the therapeutic planning”.
In Stories on Instagram, Luana Ramos, Maurílio’s wife, recorded videos of the hospital saying that in the last 24 hours he had significantly improved, despite his serious condition. “We are confident, and I wanted to ask you here for support, prayer and positive thoughts, that he will come out of this situation,” he said.
“He’s responding to medications and reacting,” she added. Afterwards, Ramos thanks the messages of support he has been receiving and asks fans to pay attention to the official notes on the singer’s health.
Maurílio suffered pulmonary thromboembolism – an obstruction of one of the pulmonary arteries – and three cardiac arrests. The incident occurred in the early hours of last Wednesday (15th), and on the same day, Work Show, the office that takes care of the duo’s performances, canceled two shows they would do, on the 17th and 18th, in the cities of Sorriso and Glória d’Oeste, both in Mato Grosso.
