Red Hot Chili Peppers: ‘Californication’ Passes 1 Billion Views On YouTube – It’s a Party…

Earlier this year, a video game based on the band’s music video was released

Their music video Red Hot Chili Peppers for their success “Californication” surpassed 1 billion views on YouTube. It’s RHCP’s first video with a billion views, Variety reports, averaging over 290,000 views per day in 2022.

Released in 2000, the video for the fourth song from RHCP’s 1999 self-titled album and posted to YouTube in 2009 was directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris.

It stars band members Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Chad Smith and John Frusciante in person and as digital avatars in the style of the video game Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater.

The complex announced a few days ago the dates of his world tour with The Strokes, Iggy Pop, The Mars Volta, St. Vincent, The Roots, Thundercat and King Princess.
