“She forgave me a lot of things. We have a lot of agreements when we’re married. I prefer not to talk about it”, he began. “But yes, she forgave me several times, just as I forgave her too. Marriage is like that: one gives way from here, the other gives way from there”.
During the episode, Cardoso also commented that the ex-wife was upset when an alleged speech was attributed to him. “She was really upset about the things that had come out in the press, like my saying I was ‘single,'” he explained.
The actors confirmed the end of the union earlier this month. Mari published a message on her official Instagram account and said she was still “digesting” the situation. “It’s not easy for anyone to end a relationship. That’s why I would like to kindly count on the respect and affection to preserve this very delicate moment for me and my children.” The former couple have two children, aged 7 and 3.
