A Fazenda 14: Huts, curses and threats between pedestrians marked reality

Marked by fights inside and outside confinement, the 14th edition of A Fazenda (Record) ends this Thursday (15), showing that the “fire in the hay” had no limits. In the list of confusions, there are accusations, curses, finger in the face, spitting, expulsions for physical aggression, family members trying to rescue participants and withdrawals.

The result of so much confusion ensured second place in the audience at the time with an average of 7.8 points and peaks of 8.5% in Greater São Paulo, according to Kantar Ibope – in the measurement one point equals 205,755 households. However, the numbers were below those of the last edition, which recorded an average of 8.8 points, with peaks of 9.6.

On social networks, the reality show was among the most talked about subjects on Twitter – most of the time due to controversies involving the participants. For most internet users, this was one of the heaviest editions due to the constant fights. Participant profile administrators also used the internet to try to mess with the game, playing compromising conversations and videos of other farmhands outside the farm.

EVIL NAME

In the fights, there was no shortage of nasty nicknames created to refer to the enemies. Deolane Bezerra was called “Nazaré Tedesco” –villain of the soap opera “Senhora do Destino” (Globo)– and “bafuda” to say that she had bad breath due to cigarettes. Pétala Barreiros was called a “piece of flower” by opponents and a “believer of Taubaté” on social media – a reference to the fake pregnant woman who made her name in the city. Bárbara Borges received nicknames such as “Witch of 71” and “Goldilocks from Chernobyl”. While Lucas Santos earned the nickname “Xeratoba” on the networks, for always being on Deolane’s tail.

PSYCHOLOGICAL TERROR

The formations of the swiddens and dynamics throughout the season were also marked by generalized fights, name-calling, shouting and a pawn not letting the other participant speak. Deolane, who got into almost every fight, was accused by her opponents of playing psychological terror and threatening to beat them out of the house. In a dynamic of the discord game, she simulated punching Kerline in the face.

BULLYING

Not even the division of animal care by the farmer of the week was peaceful and the farmhands took advantage of the power to take revenge on the disaffected by giving tasks, like picking up the garbage or taking care of the horse. In one of these task delegations, Lucas, farmer of the week, humiliated Ruivinha de Marte in front of everyone and mocked her wrong answer in a dynamic, drawing laughter from his allies. Afterwards, she appeared alone crying.

ALLEGED SUICIDE ATTEMPT

Actor Thomaz Costa had an anxiety attack in confinement and even ingested several medications due to the difficulty of dealing with the pressure of the game. At the time, it was said that he could not ring the bell to leave the program because he would have to pay a high fine and return his fee. On that day, the reality broadcast was interrupted, but a statement by Deolane angered Internet users: “Whoever wants to kill himself, kills himself”, said the player who entered as a favorite in the game, but lost strength throughout the confinement due to her attitudes and struggles.

Sought after, Record called the alleged attempt and suicide “speculation” on the part of the other pedestrians. According to a note from the broadcaster, Costa felt bad due to emotional stress and resorted to the first-aid box that is available to pedestrians to self-medicate. “Promptly assisted by the medical team, it was found that his health was stable and he was doing well. After the treatment, Thomaz decided to return to the game. He is being cared for and monitored by a multidisciplinary team”, he says.

FIGHTS, FIGHTS AND MORE FIGHTS

Babi and Deolane had fights full of irony and mockery, which made the actress gain prominence in the game and become the lawyer’s biggest enemy. While Deolane used to win fights by shouting, telling people to shut up and making threats, Babi knocked the pawn down with arguments. In one of these clashes, the lawyer destabilized the actress by saying that she would break her face and that this would not lead to anything outside the game. Shaken, she went to her room to cry, worried about what the haters would be saying outside the confinement.

With Deborah Albuquerque, Deolane’s fights were constant and everything was an excuse for them to argue – even confusions that weren’t theirs. It was common for the two to shout at each other, fight each other and set up Homeric shacks. In fights, Deolane told Deborah to shut up and also threatened to hit the woman outside the house.

PHYSICAL AGGRESSION

It was the farmhands Shayan Hagbin and Tiago Ramos who staged a real fight in the house, forcing the ninjas –masked men– to enter the headquarters to guarantee their physical integrity and that of the other participants. The two participants were expelled from reality, which had repercussions in the game and on social networks.

ATTEMPTED INVASION AND WITHDRAWALS

With just a few days to go before the end of the reality show, Deolane’s sisters also created a mess by trying to invade the reality headquarters to remove the woman, claiming that the mother was admitted to a hospital – the fact happened shortly after Babi returned from a fake farm, chosen by the public. Accompanied by fans, the Bezerra sisters went there, with a sound car and set off fireworks to try to communicate with the peoa. After a lot of fighting, the lawyer left the program.

One day after Deolane withdrew, it was Pétala’s turn to leave the reality show with ten days left for the final. Pedestrians were surprised by the departure announcement, which until today has not been very well explained by the broadcaster. Afterwards, Pétala appeared in videos on social networks celebrating with Deolane. They even met again with Tiago, who was expelled from the program.

Since leaving the reality show, Deolane has been posting videos on the networks and doing a live on her YouTube channel to criticize the program and expose behind the scenes. She said that she suffered psychic violence, ate food with an expired expiration date, accused the broadcaster of manipulating the program, criticized director Rodrigo Carelli, and accused Babi of having mistreated the sheep – which was denied by the production. “I carried A Fazenda on my back,” she said.
