Thales Bretas on 6 months without Paulo Gustavo: ‘I couldn’t process the foul’

by

The doctor and widower of Paulo Gustavo, Thales Bretas, made an outburst on social networks six months after the death of the comedian, victim of complications by Covid-19.

In an image in which she appears with a more aged face beside her lover, she spoke about the lack that her husband makes.

“I can be an old man so I’ll always be looking at everything you were and is for me! A wedding that I didn’t even know I would have, a partnership beyond life. I imagined we would dance old people together, celebrate many weddings, but now I see you eternalized,” he began.

According to Thales, the loss has been difficult to overcome. “Six months have passed since your departure, and I still haven’t been able to process your absence, I’m slowly digesting it. Sometimes I feel the need to live all this in intimacy, but even if I withdraw, I’ll always be paying homage to you in my attitudes, in my care with our family and in the devotion I will have forever.”

The doctor ended the post saying that he will love Paulo Gustavo forever. “Time on Earth does not stop, but you have eternalized yourself as this very special man who loved me so much and who I will always love, with the joy you spread and all the legacy you left wherever you went,” he wrote.

In late October, Bretas used Instagram stories to thank the affection and support she received from friends and fans on her husband’s birthday, who would turn 43 years old.

Wearing a T-shirt with the actor’s phrase “smiling is an act of resistance”, he said he would be absent from social media at that time. “I’m not going to be able to follow everything here on the internet. I’m going to disconnect a little bit to process everything in real life with my family,” wrote Bretas.

In the shared video, he highlighted that October 30 was established as Humor Day in Rio de Janeiro and that he was very happy with this tribute. He has two children with Gustavo.

That same day, the artist’s sister, Juliana Amaral, thanked him and stated that she would not let her brother’s work end. “They can wait, as there will indeed be projects involving the name of Paulo Gustavo”, he anticipated.
