Courtney Love continues to curse him Brad Pittafter claiming she was fired from “Fight Club” for refusing to let the actor make a movie about her late husband, Kurt Cobain.
Speaking on Marc Maron’s podcast, she claimed that she was cast in the lead role of Marla Singer in the 1999 classic, but was pushed out as Pitt and director Gus Van Sant tried to convince her to make a film about the singer of the band Nirvana.
“I wouldn’t let Brad play Kurt,” Love argued. “If you don’t understand me, you don’t understand Kurt, and I don’t feel like you do, Brad.”
A source told Variety that Courtney auditioned but did not get the part. “You can’t get fired for a job you didn’t get,” he said.
Finally, she added: “I don’t want Brad to be mad at me. I want him to do something better. I don’t like the attack. Come on, Brother Pete. I wish you well, I really do. If he’s angry with me again, that’s your problem.”
