Felipe Neto defends Ícaro Silva and says that the actor is ‘poorly used by Globo’

Youtuber and comedian Felipe Neto, 33, was not left out of the controversy involving actor Ícaro Silva, 34, and Big Brother Brasil (Globo). On his Twitter account, the influencer gave his opinion and defended the artist, saying he is “extremely underutilized” by the network.

“I used to be a reality show hater too. I think it’s a phase that a lot of people go through. From time to time, certain things get angry. But the real thing is that BBB can be nice for you, as well as The Farm, On Vacation with Ex , Blind Marriage and even the pornochanchada of Secret Truths. There’s room for everything,” he began.

Neto goes on to say that he didn’t like the plot of “Secret Truths 2” (Globo) and says it was the lowest quality product released this year, however, he says that “one of the spectacular things this season of ‘Secret Truths’ was precisely the performance of Ícaro Silva”.

“He’s a genius. And I say this because I’ve worked together, for months, in an improvised group. He’s really a genius… Extremely poorly used by Globo”, he wrote. “And I think that’s exactly what makes Icarus so bad…”, he continued.

“He knows what he’s capable of, is extremely poorly used by Globo and has to see millions of people thinking that he will go to a reality show. It exploded. He made a mistake, made a big mistake. But I understand where this anger comes from. And he has to understand. that was wrong”, reflected the youtuber.

“We cannot pour out the hatred that comes from our own frustrations on others. It took me years and a lot of therapy to understand this,” he concluded. In the comments, netizens shared opinions after the YouTuber’s position.

“Exactly, he can’t be carried away by his ego. Regardless of being ‘unused by the broadcaster’, he should understand that he works for the biggest broadcaster, and criticized exactly the company he works for. Hole in his own foot…”, said one .

“But BBB is mediocre! A bunch of sub-celebrities and strangers scrambling for food, drinking in their sleep and participating in endurance competitions. And that’s what makes it great! I can’t wait to get BBB 22,” wrote another.

UNDERSTAND THE CONTROVERSY

Ícaro Silva provoked controversy on Monday (20) when he published on Twitter that there is no possibility of him participating in the reality show, considering the attraction a “mediocre entertainment”. “Guys, respect my history, my trajectory, my hatred for mediocre entertainment and my disgust for sharing a bathroom. Stop believing this absurd story that I would consider going to Big Boster Brasil.”

Famous and anonymous criticized the artist for his positioning. Some internet users recalled a publication in which Icaro celebrated when the physician Thelma Assis won the BBB 20. “When was it to gain engagement, the BBB served, right?”, commented one internet user.

Ex-BBB Flayslane, 27, who participated in the 20th edition of the attraction, also countered the artist. In a comment made to a post on the Rainha Matos Instagram profile, she asked: “Does the boy think he is so superior to the show as to belittle him like that?”

Tiago Leifert, 41, said that Ícaro Silva’s criticism of Big Brother Brasil is a “gratuitous aggression” to someone who has never harmed the actor. “By the way, not only did we not harm you, we probably paid your salary on that last one!” wrote the former BBB presenter on Instagram.

In a text directed at the actor, Leifert said that Icarus has the full right to find the average BBB. “Like me, for example, I can say what I think of you: You’re an excellent actor.”

The presenter claims, however, that Icaro’s criticism of the program is not constructive, but an unfounded attack. “To think that what you do is superior is not based on facts, it’s really arrogance. No metric can support what you’ve written: Not audience, revenue, impact, relevance, etc.”

Leifert adds that the actor’s criticism is based on personal taste. “But it is no longer personal when you write it on the social network. Even if you delete it later. I also intend to delete this post here,” he says.

“Respect our history, our teams and the entertainment we provide,” he continues. He adds that if the artist really believes what he has written, “he should be an adult and never again accept work from any company that promotes the entertainment he thinks is bad.”
