Prince Harry’s Reserve has broken all records to become the UK’s fastest-selling book (non-fiction) after several TV appearances by the author, interviews, leaks and an accidental early release of in Spain.

So far, 400,000 copies have been sold – hardcover, ebook or audio, according to its publisher.

“We always knew this book would fly, but it has exceeded even our most optimistic estimates,” said Larry Finley, president of Penguin Random House, in a statement.

“As far as we know, the only books that sold more copies on their first day of release were those starring the other Harry,” the little wizard Harry Potter, he added.

The publisher clarified that the figures are based on sales of the book in Britain only.

Harry’s autobiography was officially released today, with eager readers rushing to bookstores to grab a copy of the tome filled with revelations and gossip about the British royal family.

In the book, Harry recounts incidents and makes accusations against his father, King Charles, his stepmother Camilla and his older brother, Crown Prince William.

The royal family has not commented on the book or the Duke of Sussex’s interviews and it is thought unlikely that there will be any official reaction to his claims.
