Here are some suggestions from workplace dramas to complicated love stories. Just choose the story that inspires you…

Just a few weeks ago, a new season of Emily and her adventures in Paris was renewed on Netflix, but let’s be honest: We’ve already seen all the episodes from the first two days.

And if you, like us, need a genuine rom com waiting for you every night at home, below you’ll find some suggestions from workplace dramas to complicated love stories—just pick the story that inspires you!

The Politician

A series where Ryan Murphy co-stars Ben Platt, Gwyneth Paltrow and Zoey Deutch participate in a student’s dream of running for President of the United States.

Never Have I Ever

Another masterpiece from Mindy Kaling, Never Have I Ever is about an Indian-American teenager who, after losing her dad, decides she wants to improve her social standing at school. It’s funny, touching and heartbreaking, often all at the same time.

The Hook Up Plan

A series that takes place in Paris, so it will definitely give you an Emily in Paris atmosphere. When things aren’t going so well for Elsa, her friends hire an escort to take her out on a few dates in an attempt to cheer her up and regain some of her confidence…after all, that’s what friends are for, right?

Younger

When single mom Lisa decides to look for work again in her 40s, she is rejected from several job interviews. The obvious solution? She pretends to be 26 years old in order to get an assistant position at a publishing house. It may take place in New York, but the air has an Emily in Paris vibe. Plus, it’s got Sutton Foster and Hilary Duff, so how can you not love it?

Love Life

If you are looking for genuine romantic dramas, then Love Life should be your next choice. Season 1 stars Anna Kendrick as Darby, who is looking (somewhat unsuccessfully) for love, with each episode focusing on a different relationship in her life. Season 2 stars William Jackson Harper, who you may recognize from The Good Place.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

Set in 1950s New York, Midge Maisel changes everything in her life after being abandoned by her husband. But soon after, he realizes that all he wants to be is a stand-up comedian. Three enjoyable cycles.

The Bold Type

It stars Katie Stevens, Aisha Dee, and Meghann Fahy as three twenty-something besties who work at fashion magazine Scarlet. The series gets extra points for being literally inspired by the life and career of former Cosmopolitan editor-in-chief Joanna Coles.
