Nikki Roumel: The actress who plays young Georgia in ‘Ginny & Georgia’ – Loves Greece

The second season of “Ginny & Georgia” flashbacks to the life of Georgia Miller very often. Canadian actress Nikki Roumel joined the cast of “Ginny & Georgia” from the first season, to play the teenage Georgia Miller. Through flashbacks of the series, the viewers got some first information about how the 30-year-old Georgia ended up in the present day.

Roumel’s older self, star Brianne Howey, told Entertainment Weekly: “I love Nikki. I think everything she does with young Georgia is fantastic, both the dialogue and the answers she gives through the role and her performance help.”

Born on May 8, 2000, in Toronto, Canada, Nikki Roumel is 22 years old today. In the series, young Georgia is supposed to be 15 years old, and despite the striking physical resemblance between the two actresses, Brianne Howey and Nikki Roumel, they are not actually related or related, which has shocked fans of the Netflix series.

One viewer tweeted: “The casting of young Georgia in Ginny & Georgia is good. From looks to mannerisms, you really believe they are the same person at different stages of life and it’s incredibly difficult to achieve that.”

Another agreed: ‘Is it just me or is the actress who plays young Georgia in Ginny and Georgia the perfect cast? She looks, talks and walks like Brianne Howey.”

In addition to her performance on ‘Ginny & Georgia’, Nikki Roumel is best known for her roles as Sibyl Sadik on the political drama ‘Designated Survivor’ and as Cheer Captain on the Hulu series ‘Holly Hobbie’.

Some may be surprised to learn that Nikki Roumel used to kickbox at a championship level before devoting all of her energies to acting. He fell in love with acting when he was a child. At eight, she wrote her first screenplay, which dealt with child soldiers and mental health. She already knew she wanted to be an actress and convinced her parents to take her to an audition. That’s how she worked with her first agent at the age of 12.

In an earlier interview she has stated that she believes that acting has helped her boost her self-confidence and manage her negative emotions. Having dealt with mental health issues herself, she understands what people in the same situation go through and often calls for more attention from the government for the needs of those struggling with mental health issues.

Nikki Roumel suffered from severe OCD, which developed into an eating disorder. Her family knew she needed help, but the resources provided by the government were insufficient for the number of people who needed help, which could mean waiting up to a year for any support to be provided. So they turned to GoFundMe, where her cousin, Ally Roumelliotis, and her brother, Liam Roumeliotis, asked for financial help, so they could raise money for Nikki. Fortunately, they received tremendous support from her family and community, raising the amount needed for Nikki’s treatment.

On Instagram herself, with at least 445 thousand followers, she often posts snapshots from behind the scenes of the series “Ginny & Georgia”, but also her feed is full of beautiful travel photos of her in places such as Greece, Peru and Morocco. Apparently, Nikki really loves Greece, she has some relatives here, and in a recent summer photo she wrote: “Life is a fairy tale.”
