Sergio Marone says that being politicized drives companies away, but that he will continue to ‘point the finger’

Shirtless photos, which the public adores, and online flirting are interspersed with more “head” posts on social media by actor Sergio Marone, 41. From time to time, he also shows a more conscious and politicized side to his followers — even if he is sometimes criticized for it.

But it’s not something that affects you. On the contrary, he says he sees it as an opportunity to remove what does not match his worldview. “These positions certainly distance some work with companies that sponsor hatred, division and the dismantling of public agencies for environmental protection, and I don’t want to work with them”, he says in conversation with the F5.

“It’s all right, I’m going to be here defending a future that I think is right and pointing the finger.”

Like other artists and public figures, the actor was one of those who exposed his positions and political choices recently. When Brasília and the government buildings were invaded, Sérgio rejected the attack and it didn’t take long for several followers to criticize the artist.

About this, Marone argues that every public person has an obligation to take a stand when the “callus tightens”. “I’m the kind of public person who always expresses myself on matters that I consider important. I’m always attentive and bringing these issues to my social networks”, she ponders.

On a professional level, the actor says he enjoyed the experience of presenting the culinary program Mestres da Sabotagem (SBT) and that he loves the area of communication, where “he can communicate without being a character”. For this year, however, he adds that he is developing a script for a series and that he is focusing on new projects in the area of dramaturgy.

The job, by the way, requires Sérgio to be very careful with his appearance — he confesses to being vain, despite thinking that the word has a negative connotation. “I prefer to talk about self-care”, explains the São Paulo native, who even launched a beauty brand —100% vegan— just over a year ago.

“Vanity is intrinsic to any human being and each one reflects it in a different way, whether through professional accomplishments or more on the side of appearance”, he assesses. “I’ve always had the self-care agenda present in my life, I’m always attentive to always be active and exercising.”
