Nanda Costa moved fans this Saturday (21) by mourning her father’s death in an old photo published on her Instagram profile. The actress, who two days earlier had celebrated the 15 months of her daughters Kim and Tiê’s life on the hammocks, appears in the image as a baby, being held in her arms by him.
“It was Christmas, my first Christmas, my only Christmas with him. On his lap. I always waited for you, dad! And through that photo I knew you existed. I cry for your departure. How sad that life wanted it that way. This picture never left my side, and it never will. Rest in peace. I love you dad,” he wrote.
In mid-2022, Nanda, 36, revealed on Serginho Groisman’s program that her father abandoned the family when she was about a year old. Despite her absence (or precisely because of it), he would have been her motivation to try her hand at acting.
“Once, watching TV with my mother and grandmother, I asked: ‘Mom, do you think my father watches TV? Do you think he watches newspapers like my grandfather or watches soap operas like you and my grandmother ?’
By late Saturday morning, Nanda’s post had been liked by nearly 28,000 people, including Adriane Galisteu, Regina Casé (“A kiss full of love for you, my dear”), Mariana Ximenes, Marcella Fogaça, Maeve Jinkings, Vera Zimmermann and Catarina Abdalla, among others.
