Madonna’s eldest daughter was barred from the Marc Jacobs fashion show, held at the Upper East Side historic building in Manhattan, New York, this Thursday (2). Lourdes Maria Leon, 26, even arrived at the scheduled time to start the event, but found the entrance already blocked by security. She and a friend even tried to argue that they were on the guest list and strictly complied with production guidelines. The two men from the team hired to stop the possible attackers paid no attention to the duo.
Some paparazzi and fans of several famous people, who were at the scene, record the embarrassing moment of the model, who left the place with her head down. The embarrassment is even greater, since Lourdes Maria, also known as Lola, has already been chosen to be the face of the Marc Jacobs brand’s spring 2021 campaign.
“Lola has the uncompromising spirit and individuality that represent this younger version of the brand,” the company’s statement said at the time. So far, no one from the parties involved has commented on the episode involving Madonna’s daughter.
The American designer presented the autumn 2023 collection, which pays homage to fellow designer Vivienne Westwood. She died at the end of December at her home in south London and Jacobs has always stressed that the British woman has influenced his work since the beginning of his career in the 1980s.
