Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver finally divorce after ten years

Arnold Schwarzenegger, 74, and Maria Shriver, 66, finally managed to end the court battle that lasted ten years and are now officially divorced.

Maria Shriver filed papers in July 2011 after alleging “irreconcilable differences” for the separation. Shriver left the actor after 25 years of marriage when he discovered he had a child with the family’s maid.

Shriver and Schwarzenegger were married without a prenuptial agreement, so all assets acquired during the union had to be divided fifty-fifty. According to the TMZ website, the couple’s fortune was around R$ 2 billion.

The website claims that the lack of motivation and the subsequent complications related to the property settlement agreements they had were the reasons for all this delay.

In addition to his role as former governor of California, the actor and bodybuilder was best known for making the “The Terminator” (1984) franchise, a film in which he gave life to the killer known as The Terminator, who travels from 2029 to 1984 with the mission to kill Sarah Connor, played by actress Linda Hamilton.

In 2020, Arnold underwent new cardiac surgery at a hospital in Cleveland, USA. He posted a photo on his social networks after the operation, but reassured fans that he was “feeling fantastic”.

“Thanks to the staff at the Cleveland Clinic, I have a new aortic valve to accompany my new pulmonary valve from my last surgery,” said the actor, who added that he was “walking the streets of Cleveland enjoying his amazing statues.” “Thanks to all the doctors and nurses on my team!”
