With a collective performance depicting his murals of displaced children, JR inaugurated his first solo exhibition in Italy. In the 4,000 square meters of the Gallerie d’Italia in Turin, the exhibition “Déplacé∙e∙s” presents until July 16 his different artistic expressions.

The video posted on February 7 by JR on his Instagram account shows hundreds of volunteers holding large banners in Turin’s Piazza San Carlo, carrying them to the center of the square, unfolding them and placing them down to form the opening mural for the “Déplacé ∙e∙s’. “Today, in Turin, we united for the first time the five marches in one place, at the same time. The five refugee children we met in Ukraine, Mauritania, Rwanda, Colombia and Greece can now be together to organize this great action, with over 1400 participants…” wrote JR.
