Blockade at the Atalanti flyover as well

The farmers of the area blocked the Athens-Lamia highway at the Atalanti junction shortly after 14:00, according to APE-MPE.

The farmers had gathered at the specific point in support of their colleagues who have a meeting with the government echelon at Megaros Maximos.

From early in the morning they had placed their agricultural machinery on the Atalanti flyover and shortly after 2:00 they proceeded to occupy both streams of the national highway, with the consequence that the traffic develops from the side roads from the 137th to the 150th kilometer of the Athens-Lamia national road.

In particular, according to a police announcement, those traveling from Lamia to Athens exit the national highway at the junction of Livanata and continue to Tragana to then return to the national highway and continue their journey. Exactly the reverse is the case for those heading from Athens to Lamia.
