The deadly earthquake that struck Turkey last week seems to have caused a change in the relations of this country with Greece, as the sea waters between the two countries have today become a channel of brotherhood that brings rescue teams to Turkish territory, comments in the official Turkish news agency Anadolu cabled him.

A team of 35 Greek rescuers, the cable says, is in the southern Turkish province of Kahramanmaras searching for any survivors. He arrived there on Saturday night, after traveling 30 hours from Athens, the agency writes.
In its telegram, Anadolu refers to the tensions in the relations between the two countries to date, noting however that “the tragedy of the earthquake seems to have changed the ‘weather conditions’ in bilateral relations”.
He also points to Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias’ visit to Turkey on Sunday, saying he was the first top diplomat from an EU country to make a solidarity visit to Turkey in the wake of the disaster.
