Ivete Sangalo will guide traffic app drivers during Carnival

by

“Which street is this, daddy?”, “Don’t speed up” and “Take it slow, daddy! Go slow, mainha!’ Ivete Sangalo could even adapt some lyrics from her repertoire to guide drivers of a traffic application, but she will have to use the traditional “turn left”, “go straight ahead” or “watch out for an intersection 100 meters away”. The singer will be the voice of an app during Carnival in three Brazilian capitals: São Paulo (SP), Rio de Janeiro (RJ) and Salvador (BA).

“I command my electric trio singing, and now everyone can also drive along with me wherever they are”, celebrated the singer and presenter about the “new function” in the official Waze statement released this Tuesday (14).

The map service in the “Dirija com a Ivete” banner will include changes in the app in real time so people can escape traffic jams. It will also signal street closures and detours in block and electric trios exit areas as soon as they are determined by the authorities.

Another novelty is the possibility for drivers to use an electric trio as an official car on the platform, during the revelry. There will be three special icons — Harley Quinn, Columbine and Pierrot —, available until March 12th in the app.
