Pedro Pascal will return as Din Djarin in the upcoming season of Disney+’s hit series, The Mandalorian. However, the role comes with its own unique challenges for the actor.

In an interview with Empire magazine, Pascal revealed that wearing the character’s iconic Beskar armor isn’t the most comfortable experience. He described the outfit as “like wearing a glove from head to toe with weights.” The helmet, in particular, makes it difficult to see or have any facial expression, which can make it difficult to connect with the audience.

However, Pascal acknowledged the suit’s effectiveness in making him feel part of the Star Wars universe. “It puts you in the world so completely and immediately makes the character feel real,” he said. “When I wear it, I immediately feel powerful, protected, dangerous and like a protector.”

One of the biggest challenges of using the helmet, according to Pascal, is fogging of the visor due to breathing. This, combined with the narrow visor slit, makes peripheral vision almost impossible, often resulting in the crew helping him navigate certain scenes.

Despite the challenges, Pascal is excited to reprise his role as a bounty hunter and continue the story of Din Djarin. The upcoming season of The Mandalorian will feature several new directors, including Lee Isaac Chung, Peter Ramsey, and Rachel Morrison, among others. The series is produced by Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, Karen Gilchrist and Carrie Beck. Favreau also serves as showrunner and director.
