BBB 23: Ricardo’s sister speaks after Fred says that the brother was raised in a hostile environment

Renata Camargo, sister of BBB 23 (Globo) participant Ricardo ‘Alface’, made a publication on social media to contest Fred’s lines about raising his brother. During the party this Saturday (11), when talking to Cara de Sapato, Fred said he believed that Alface does not act out of evil, but because of the way he was raised. “Perhaps he was raised in a hostile environment”, said the youtuber and presenter of Desimpedidos.

“Contrary to what is said, we were raised in a simple family and surrounded by a lot of love. When I watched the video, I stood still for a few seconds”, argues Alface’s sister in a video posted on Instagram. “My father is synonymous with love, my mother is synonymous with strength and resilience. We were raised in a simple family, in a simple neighborhood, but everyone who knows us knows what I’m talking about. That must be why I’m getting a lot of messages support,” he adds.

In the caption of the publication, Renata added: “As a sister, it hurts me to see our family being judged in this way! The strongest memory of my father is love! The attitude that my brother adopted during his life was that of survival as a black guy from middle class that has always been silenced outside the home. That’s it, brother, your cry is for positioning… I know your pains and your story!”

Alface’s profile also positioned itself on Fred’s lines. “It is with great indignation that we bring this video here. How can Fred deduce that from someone in a very short time together?”, says the text published this Sunday (12). “Rick’s family feels embarrassed by this comment from Desimpedidos because, despite the many difficulties they had, he was raised with a lot of love, care and RESPECT.”

Ricardo’s page administrators also told a little about their brother’s routine during college and the difficulties he went through during the period. “It’s much easier to point the finger at someone than to look at yourself, isn’t it Fred? This deduction about Rick and his family was a huge disregard and disrespect”, concludes the note.

During Saturday’s party, the host of Desimpedidos was talking to Cara de Sapato about Alface’s style. “If I had a person like him in my life, I would gradually distance myself, until he disappeared, until he disappeared. I like him, I think he has a good heart, I don’t think he does it out of malice, but it gets very tiring . I was going to stay away until he wasn’t part of my life, but here we can’t do that.”

Fred then says he believes that Ricardo’s posture may be related to his upbringing. “I try to understand, maybe it’s his fight, his battle, the way he was raised, even the smallest things […] Perhaps he was raised in a hostile environment.”

Fred’s team took a stand on Twitter about the episode. “It’s worth remembering that Fred and Ricardo walked through that door together and that they were friends and allies for over a month in the house. They had many exchanges and talked about their stories, pains and achievements. Between these conversations, Ricardo often spoke explicitly about the difficulties on your path to get here, both for Fred and for other brothers.”
